Who am I?
My Experience
I started my journey in growth at RockBoost, the first growth hacking agency in the Netherlands, where I was their very first full-time hire. Over the years, I worked with more than 100 companies across industries and scaled up to lead a consulting team of 14 growth hackers.
That experience taught me how to balance scrappy experimentation with building sustainable growth systems - lessons I later captured in my book Growing Happy Clients.
From there, I moved to the brand side at Heights as Head of Growth, helping the startup scale from £28K to £343K MRR in just 18 months. Alongside, I coached other D2C founders on building growth engines that actually last.
What I’m up to now
Today, I work as a freelance growth advisor and consultant, partnering with founders and Heads of Growth - especially in wellness and eco-friendly D2C and app startups, to tackle challenges like scaling beyond paid ads, structuring teams, and finding (or refining) product–market fit.
I also speak at conferences and run workshops reviewing setups as well as sharing practical frameworks and stories from the trenches.
I also share A LOT of content, on LinkedIn and my newsletter, and in the past have written 60+ articles on Medium. Now I also write for RevenueCat and Convert.
When I’m not growth-obsessed
When I’m not deep in growth loops and retention curves, I’m usually in the kitchen cooking a feast, devouring yet another book (fiction or non-fiction), or out hiking with my dog or training for a physical challenge (marathons / half-ironmans).

“Being a Growth Lead is challenging, but the coaching sessions with Daphne helped me feel confident in my decisions and my ideas. Daphne helped me think outside the box, and continue to push for bigger, riskier experiments with stakeholders. Every hour was jam packed with advice, idea generation and support on both growth tactics and strategy.”
— Rosie, Product Growth Lead, Peanut

I fell in love with Growth when I realised it combined data and creativity.
What makes me different
Advising needs to be a match on a personal level, you need to find an advisor that you feel comfortable with but who also challenges and pushes you to grow.
That’s why I always arrange a call before we start working together to see if we’re a match. Here is my approach to give you an idea.
-
I’m Dutch, meaning I won’t beat around the bush. I’ll always listen and be honest in what I would advise.
-
I’ll share all of my mistakes and learnings rather than just my successes. This ensures you can truly learn from my experience and not make the same mistakes.
-
I only work with clients that excite me. I think it is important that consultants are as passionate about your business as you are. I always say I’m a critical cheerleader: there to cheer you on, but also pushing you to be your best.
-
My partner always says I’m the worst liar; I can’t help but laugh if I try to tell the smallest of fibs. I’m never going to pretend to know something I don’t or be super formal when I’m not. It’s a bit cliche, but what you see is what you get.
Chat with me
The best way to see if I can help you is to arrange a quick chat.
(Worst case scenario: You’ll walk away with some new ideas.)
