Who am I?

My journey into growth started when I joined RockBoost, the 1st growth hacking agency in the Netherlands, as their first full-time employee. I got to work with over 100 companies of all sizes and industries, and worked my way up to leading a consulting team of 14 growth hackers.

I wrote a book Growing Happy Clients to share all my learnings of consulting clients.

From there, I moved on to the brand side at Heights. As their Head of Growth, I helped them go from £28K to £343 MMR in 18 months whilst also coaching other D2C companies.

Now I'm a freelance growth advisor and consultant helping Founders and Head of Growths of wellness and eco-friendly D2C startups navigate various growth challenges - from scaling channels to finding Product-Market Fit. Additionally, I speak at conferences and talks at well-known brands, like TikTok and ING.

I also write on Medium for BetterMarketing and GrowthHackers.

When I’m not in growth-obsessed mode, you can usually find me: cooking up a feast, reading a million books, or hiking with my dog.

Meet my team member…

My name is Lola and I work as a Junior Growth Strategist alongside Daphne at Growth Waves. My background is in History and Politics but I’ve recently taken to the World of Growth because I’m passionate about new, exciting products that help people while also being kind to the planet.

In Growth, every day is different. One day I might be reporting on sales and ads, creating a landing page the next day, then helping write a newsletter to finish off the week. I love how fast-paced and unpredictable the role is because it means I get to try out all kinds of new stuff every day!

When I’m not serving as Daphne’s right-hand-man, you’ll probably find me immersed in music (playing, listening, dancing), watching a history doc or training for my next half-marathon (Daphne is my coach!)

What People Are Saying

“She has made a tremendous impact to dozens of founders and marketers through her mentorship sessions. The breadth and depth of her marketing skill sets, ability to quickly synthesize datasets, matched with her high EQ makes puts her in the top 99 percentile of growth marketers I've had the pleasure of encountering.”

— Foti, Founder, GrowthMentor

“Daphne has lots of hard skills that make her a great full-stack growth hacker from setting up complex campaign structures to establishing successful growth strategies. Daphne’s approach is highly output-driven. She carefully (but quickly) analyses the business value of things she is working on.”

— Justyna, Head of Growth, Beducated

“I consider myself very lucky having had the chance to work with Daphne. She's caring, has an incredibly impressive work ethic, is extremely intelligent, and most of all - is an amazing leader. I knew every day I showed up to work, Daphne would have something new to teach me. She's truly inspiring, and the passion she put into the work she does is admirable.”

— Alexia, Growth Executive, Heights

“Being a Growth Lead is challenging, but the coaching sessions with Daphne helped me feel confident in my decisions and my ideas. Daphne helped me think outside the box, and continue to push for bigger, riskier experiments with stakeholders. Every hour was jam packed with advice, idea generation and support on both growth tactics and strategy.”

— Rosie, Product Growth Lead, Peanut

I fell in love with Growth when I realised it combined data and creativity.

What makes me different

Advising needs to be a match on a personal level, you need to find an advisor that you feel comfortable with but who also challenges and pushes you to grow. That’s why I always arrange a call before we start working together to see if we’re a match. Here is my approach to give you an idea.

  • I’m Dutch, meaning I won’t beat around the bush. I’ll always listen and be honest in what I would advise.

  • I’ll share all of my mistakes and learnings rather than just my successes. This ensures you can truly learn from my experience and not make the same mistakes.

  • I only work with clients that excite me. I think it is important that consultants are as passionate about your business as you are. I always say I’m a critical cheerleader: there to cheer you on, but also pushing you to be your best.

  • My partner always says I’m the worst liar; I can’t help but laugh if I try to tell the smallest of fibs. I’m never going to pretend to know something I don’t or be super formal when I’m not. It’s a bit cliche, but what you see is what you get.
